I’m still not quite sure who or what I want to be. At work I build software with AI; in my free time I swim, play taiko and put my life into words on Instagram and my blog, Blebet. I like oysters and dirty martinis.

Work

I started out as a QA engineer and spent years digging through the guts of software, hunting down even the tiniest bugs. Along the way I drifted into management and led my own team for quite a few years. Later I left that behind and turned to automation.

These days I build software with AI, and it turns out that’s a perfect fit for someone with a QA brain. Years of clear bug reports, exact steps to reproduce and expected vs. actual are exactly what an AI needs to build the right thing. I still ask “but what if the user does this?”, just to a different colleague.

Writing

I don’t like writing, but I write because I have to. Also because nobody listens to me. I cook up verbal minestrones, collect bad ideas, chase half-finished thoughts and get tangled up in sentences that go on for far too long. I’m a fan of overinflated adjectives, the incorrect use of commas, and the tasteless use of brackets (like this one).

Right now most of it happens on Instagram: almost daily, unplanned and raw. I post my diaries, pull tarot cards, write poems and yap about random things, which is my way of fighting my fear of being seen. Longer thoughts and essays live on Blebet. All in Slovenian, to keep the audience exclusive.

Say hi

Like my writing or my work? Have something on your mind? Maybe some feedback, or an idea for a project we could work on together? I’m always up for a collaboration, especially a slightly odd one!
